Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film model, actress and film maker. The stunning beauty of Rene Marie can be seen throughout her career as an actress and performer. Invicta Fighting Championships took her on the 18-year-old at the age of 18, and she went on to beat two opponents via submission. The fights caught the eye to Dana White who signed her to join the UFC Strawweight on December 14, 2014, when she was just 22. Rose has experienced extremes and lows throughout her career. However, she's always been a winner. Rose took on Carla Esparza on April 15 in 2015 for the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose defeated Esparza by a technical knockout within just under 3 minutes the Round One. Rose not only won the championship but was named Fighter Of The Night. Rose has also created MMA history with this match as she became the first female to fight to win the title of champion at any organization of note. Namajunas won a number of fights following her win which included defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk on two occasions. The win brought Namajunas Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
